New Mexico Anti-Racism Portal (833) 485-1335
The State of New Mexico Anti-Racism, Anti-Oppression Portal was established as a requirement of the Black Education Act, passed in the Legislature's 2021 New Mexico General Session. Students, families, and community members can report school-based incidents of racism, injustice, or discrimination against anyone.
Callers will reach a trained department employee from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday; if calling after hours, they can leave a message.
The ARAO portal is a neutral bridge that supports communication between districts, schools, students, and their families. The ARAO Portal covers racialized incidents that happen within New Mexico schools. For questions contact Christopher Woods at - Christopher.Woods@ped.nm.gov
